What am I buying?
A perpetual license for one named user. A perpetual license means that you pay a single one-off fee. This covers the cost of the software and your first year’s maintenance. At the end of the year you can opt to renew your maintenance contract if you wish, or you can let it lapse. You then have access to the software in perpetuity, but you will not have access to support, maintenance or upgrades and patches.
The license will be associated to a specific named individual /user. It can only be installed on one computer (desktop or laptop) at any one time. It is possible to transfer the install from one machine to another, for example if a user has a replacement computer issued or if the current user leaves your employ / has a change of role and a new person takes up the SPSS license.
About the SPSS Decision Trees module
IBM® SPSS® Decision Trees helps you better identify groups, discover relationships between them and predict future events. This module features highly visual classification and decision trees that enable you to present categorical results in an intuitive manner, so you can more clearly explain categorical analysis to non-technical audiences. It includes four tree-growing algorithms, giving you the ability to try different types and find the one that best fits your data.
The module provides specialized tree-building techniques for classification within the IBM SPSS Statistics environment. The four tree-growing algorithms include:
- CHAID—a fast, statistical, multi-way tree algorithm that explores data quickly and efficiently, and builds segments and profiles with respect to the desired outcome.
- Exhaustive CHAID—a modification of CHAID, which examines all possible splits for each predictor.
- Classification and regression trees (C&RT)—a complete binary tree algorithm that partitions data and produces accurate homogeneous subsets.
- QUEST—a statistical algorithm that selects variables without bias and builds accurate binary trees quickly and efficiently.

What happens after I place my order?
You have the option of paying for your product now using a credit card or of paying later via direct bank transfer or cheque. Your order won’t be confirmed until we have received payment. Once you have placed your order we will send you an invoice.
Once payment is received and your order is confirmed we will email you with information about how to electronically download your software. We will also give you an IBM Proof of Entitlement certificate. This will identify Smart Vision Europe Ltd as your support provider, it will give your customer number with IBM and clearly state exactly what products you have purchased along with the start and end dates for your support and maintenance.
